Manali
is a wonderful place in Indian Himalayas with perfect terrain for heliskiing and heliboarding. The mountain base is located at an altitude of 2000 meters near the town of Manali at the head of the Kullu Valley in the peaceful Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The highest drop offs are as high as 5 000 meters, the runs – up to 5 kms.
The team consists of experienced UIAGM guides and Swiss pilots who operate the flights on the helicopters Bell 407 and/or Eurocopter B3.
Program description
Day 1, Friday
- Arrival to Delhi
- Transfer to Imperial Hotel – 5*
- Free time.
City tour upon request.
 
Day 2, Saturday
- Breakfast in the hotel
- Transfer to the airport
- 06:50 Flight from Delhi to Kullu by Kingfisher Airlines (IT 4357)
- 08:15 Arrival to Kullu

Changes in timetable are possible due to inclement weather;
Charter flight is possible.

Transfer from the airport to the mountain base – approximate time by land is 1 hour 45 minutes (your accompanying luggage is transferred with you while your overland luggage usually arrives to the hotel sometime between 18:00 and 23:00 and is delivered to the rooms except for skis and snowboards which are taken to the ski room)
The most convenient way to get to the base is by a helicopter. The flight time is 15-20 minutes one way. The helicopter lands on the helipad 150 meters from the hotel. 5 people can seat in each helicopter.
- Arrival greeting in the Manali base - Ambassador Resorts 5* (single accommodation in standard rooms; room upgrade is possible based on availability)
- Welcome drink on arrival (you will receive some information on the timing and location of lunch or snacks)
- Adjustment of ski/snowboard equipment so that no time is wasted adjusting skis on Sunday morning
- Lunch
- 19:00 ‘meet to greet’ time: presentation, planning of the next day and the whole week
- 20:00 dinner
   
Days 3 - 8
12 – 17 of February, Sunday – Friday
- 07:00 wakeup call (next days wake up calls are on request basis only)
- Breakfast (Base Manager or his designate meets all the guests to find out if they are comfortable and happy with the provided arrangements. He makes a note of any requirements or special requests made by the guests and co-ordinates with the concerned people ensuring that the needful is done as soon as possible)
- 08:30 avalanche transceiver briefing and helicopter safety talks. The exact time will be determined by the guiding team and announced to guests beforehand.
- The ski/snowboard technician will be on hand in the ski room to inquire of the guests if they would like a wax job on their equipment and to make last minute adjustments to bindings.
- 09:00 first take off for Heliski (the helipad is 2 minute walk away from the hotel)
- Around 12:00 lunch in the form of a picnic hamper. It is served on the mountain at a convenient location where all skiing groups converge to partake in it.

- Around 17:00 returning to the hotel
- Relaxation (Guest are offered to use a health club, sauna steam and Jacuzzi. It is also possible to take a massage or visit Manali town for shopping or sightseeing)
- 20:00 dinner

The program price for the whole group of 8 people: € 85 500.
The price includes:
- 11 helicopter hours;
- 6 days guide service (1 guide per 4 participants);
- Himachal State Government Heliski Tax and Central Government Service Tax levy (540 euro/person/week);
- Central Government Service Tax levy;
- Use of an avalanche transceiver, avalanche airbag, shovel and probe;
- Single accommodation in Ambassador Resort in Manali - 7 nights;
- Single accommodation in Imperial Hotel in Delhi – 2 nights;
- Meals in Ambassador Resort in Manali;
- Group transfers in Delhi (airport – hotel – airport): Volkswagen Crafter or Mercedes Benz Sprinter;
- Group transfers in Manali (airport – hotel – airport);
- Local flight Delhi – Kullu – Delhi by Kingfisher Airlines;

The price does not include:
- International flight Moscow – Delhi - Moscow;
- Helicopter transfer Kullu – Ambassador resort and return;

- Visa;
- Departure tax and gratuities;
- Extra helicopter hours;
- Rescue flights are billed separately.
Extras:
>Extra helicopter hours: € 2 100 per 1 hour;
- Helicopter transfer Kullu - Ambassador Resort – Kullu – around 35 minutes based on the price €2 100 per 1 hour per group of 5 people maximum;
- Charter flight Delhi – Kullu – Delhi on BEECH 1900D plane (1 hour 15 minutes one way): 13 passengers maximum: € 22 500;
- Delhi city tour: about € 850 per group of 8.
Payment policy:
- To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit sum of €2500 must be paid within 2 weeks of your initial booking request.
- The balance of the package price is due 12 weeks prior to your departure date.
- Payments are due through bank transfer in Euros.
Refunds/cancellation:
- Only 3 helicopter hours out of total 11 hours can be refunded for the inability to fly due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown. Refunds are given to a rate of € 2100 per 1 unused helicopter hour per group.
- Insurance covering sport injuries and repatriation is compulsory; a trip cancellation insurance is recommended;
- If you cancel the trip no less than 12 week before the beginning, the whole amount minus the non-refundable balance will be returned to you.
- No refund will be made when you cancel the trip after 12 weeks deadline.
- If, due to circumstances beyond the control, the company-organizer is forced to cancel your trip, you will receive you a full credit in one of the following three.
- No refund will be made for days not used for personal reasons (late arrival, early departure, being unwell etc.) or in case you decide to stop skiing during the day.
